It’s not contempt - just disappointment over someone whose work I admire failing to recognize where the actual national security danger lies in the battle against misinformation. Apologies if my sharp tone registered as contemptuous.
Imagine if someone actually had a different view of the true threats against our country than you do. I can imagine i might be wrong. Can you?

Of course I can imagine being wrong. My Bayesian priors are never set to 1.0, any more than I would imagine yours are. Presumably as scientists we share the same epistemology: all truth claims are to be based only on evidence and logic. Let’s use both to arrive at a clearer view
