One thing Trump's presidency has made crystal clear to me is the degree to which the mainstream media is simply an un-elected arm of government. It is certainly NOT an independent conscience or fail-safe against tyranny. It is a handmaiden of and conspirator with the status quo.

To be fair, my trust so low, that i think that corporate media should be: a) sustained from any opinions for next 10 years. Just facts - thing X, on day Y happened in place Z. That's all. b) punished for every false / untrue reporting - one mistake - 1M to the government or NGOs
