The limiting factor to gene editing at scale will still be definitively linking causative genotype to phenotype, which is is easier said than done. Still doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s an amazing technological leap.

Still, few cases such as single gene disorders are very well understood. However, we may never have a good understanding about why those genes were selected for until the editing is done at scale.
