I'm a utilitarian, which I suppose is the a version of 'moral realism', i.e. taking other sentient beings seriously.

Check this: as an utilitarian would you decide in favour or against legal abortion depending on how much people really dislike it? If they dislike it a lot they lose more utility right? And viceversa. Welcome to moral relativism
