I gather from the replies to this that most people lack the emotional maturity to handle even a longterm monogamous relationship, let alone a non-monogamous marriage. The knee-jerk "OMG CUCK!!!1" reaction without reading this demonstrates widespread relationship insecurity.

While i think Primal is wrong to equate poly with being gay, the responses are the thing that demonstrates he may have a point.

Observing that poly doesn't have protected political status is not saying that being poly is like being gay. It's an observation of a fact. If I say "straight men and gay men both have penises" is that suggesting that being a straight man is like being a gay man?
