Interesting article. But the only poly arrangement I find makes “instinctual sense” for a man is polygyny. Multiple wives. Or a “main girl” with side hoes and mistresses. I think anything else is either a compromise on his part or a sexual strategy that favours the woman.
Yes, consensual relationships require compromises from both sides.
