Profoundly interesting question when one reflects on our Paleolithic, tribe-dwelling past and how we would have known everyone in the group (n=50-100maybe) from birth onwards....

Well I'm in a suburban apartment complex, so yeah, yeah naw. My flatmates and some students across the street.

Before we sold the house last year, it was more than 10%, but we were there 25 years in a low,turnover 'hood. In Bungalow Bardo, only some of the next door neighbors and their cat.

I want to know more about this next time we are at the same party

Unless it’s a wedding or a funeral I almost never know the names of the closest 100 people. At a guess, I am almost certainly closer to a rat than 10 people I know.

I currently know ~%10 of the people’s names in my neighborhood as opposed to from %80-%90 of the neighbors I grew up w/. I miss that old neighborhood.
