You should be able to vote before any of the others. Kids have a stake in their society's future.

Start voting at age 10. Make it a habit before puberty imposes its nihilism and apathy.

The reason we have a representative democracy, instead of a direct democracy, is so that not everyone needs to be a policy expert for our society to function

I think 10 is too young, there is a very real chance that parents will lean into brainwashing their children about who to vote for and how to think about issues more than that already do. Also there is little chance of them being able to understand the issues 16 makes sense IMO

With how brainwashy and activist the public school system is, he's basically saying, "pipeline all the kids directly into the left." Field trips will basically be to the voting booth with all of them being progressive votes.

Voters should be of working age. It's their tax dollars that the government is spending. It's too easy to spend money if you haven't earned it. 18 is just right.

I imagine developmental psychologists such as the neo-Piagetians would object to this. What would your response be? We wouldn't give 10-year-olds positions of responsibility in society. Why give them the responsibility to elect people to positions of power?
