    I loved the Watchmen graphic novel (1986) and the Zack Snyder movie (2009). However... the new @watchmen series on @HBO is a cynical, vile, witlessly woke, morally reckless betrayal of everything that made them great. Without Dr. Manhattan vs. Ozymandias, it's not Watchmen.

        Precisely, except that Snyder's movie is OK and the comic is a masterpiece. This show should just have its own name and be its own thing, rather than using "WATCHMEN" for its name recognition...

        Dr Manhattan is gonna be in it and I reckon the race stuff won’t prove as central as first impressions. Lindelof has his themes he returns too and can’t see that being what he’d make it all about.
