Intersectionality *should* have influence in any progressive organisation that wants to help people as effectively as possible. It's a framework for understanding how systemic disadvantages interact. It can be overused, sure, but rejecting it is anti-intellectual.
What evidence would convince you that 'intersectional analysis of systemic disadvantages' might not actually be a very useful way to promote good social policies? Or is that an article of faith?

Good question. I think you first have to separate analysis, policy, and promotion. I agree that in promoting social policies it might be most effective to speak in universals as much as possible. For analysis, the only question is what's true, and it's hard to argue that 1/

systemic disadvantages don't exist and interact. For example this article on the unique challenges that black men face in the US.
