The primary attitude in the public is monogamy. Polyamorous relationships takes people out of the market for monogamy. A lot of people (especially men) would rather not have sex if monogamy isn't an option.

The biggest contributors however are anti-men feminism and desensitisation to sex because of an overly sexualised culture. This speaks true especially for the rise in "asexuality" as an orientation.
