Because our homes are our retirement. None of us are interested in seeing our net worth devalued. To be a homeowner in CA, you either inherit it or you earn it. It’s not a given. I’d not have it any other way. If you are in the Bay Area I’ll buy you lunch:)

And I’d add the reason this is so and good, in the evolutionary sense, is this is the most primo real estate on Earth. Hands down! You want to own a slice? You gotta be one fit motherfucker. And that’s a good thing.
