The reality is that walking away under these circumstances *extends* the conflict because it grants our enemies a reprieve. Remember, when an enemy still wants to fight, you don’t end the conflict by retreating.https://twitter.com/BenHowe/status/1181218232637763584 …

The European nations bear the brunt of the refugee crisis they should take the lead. I suppose they did. They’d rather absorb refugees than get involved in conflict.

Assad, but also the Islamists terrorists we’ve armed to fight Assad. Also Iran and Russia. And Turkey if they end up attacking the Kurds.

I think the American ppl whose children fight & die in these "conflicts" are tired of supporting them. Tired of pundits opining on how "irresponsible" it is to not die in the middle of some foreign conflict. What's interesting is seeing all of the Dems who support more war.

You break it you bought it. The primary short term cause of ISIS was US policy. Pulling out and more importantly allowing diplomatic cover to the Turks is indefensible when done like this.

Not defending the war, but the Kurds are most certainly not our enemy. Selling them out is not defensible. But enough people made noise and Trump will do whatever he needs to stay popular with his base. If he promised Erdogan anything stupid, he has no problem reneging.

Selling out how exactly? The Kurds have been waging your war with your money, they are your paid militia.
