Is 'guilt by association' a good basis for judging people?

No. But I mean if you’re literally hanging out with someone advocating genocide or the forming a white ethnostate in the US or something you may wanna reevaluate your life

If they have that worldview for reasons they can be reasoned out of, sure. But typically if someone has those opinions they’ve either been radicalized in someway or they’re a sociopath and it needs to be left up to professionals trained in that area to try and reason them out.
