Thought experiment: you're teaching a college psychology class and you have an unlimited budget to take your students on a field trip. Where would be the most illuminating place for them to spend a few hours observing human behavior?

This is good. I've spent ALOT of time at places like this. Both as employee and patron. Maybe divide the hours of observing amongst both perspectives. It's eye-opening working as security/bouncer.
Some of my best undergraduate research assistants came to college after working as doormen/bouncers. They know what's up.

Not surprising. Unfortunately for your posed Q, very few will have the temperament to perform the job, let alone do it well. I.E. being able to judge the right moment to escalate a confrontation to physical intervention. One MUST be a good judge of human behavior Esp. drunk ppl.
