The real problem with Chick-fil-A isn't their politics. The problem is that, given factory farming, eating chicken imposes more far more suffering on other sentient animals, pound for pound, than eating beef. (Chickens are much smaller than cows, & suffer more.)

So given that modern chickens would all but go extinct if not for their extrinsic utility (to humans), that would result in a net increase in global utility, from the perspective of a chicken? From the perspective of the species of chicken?

For the record, I'm not a utilitarian, but from such a utilitarian perspective, I'd answer yes to both.
