The real problem with Chick-fil-A isn't their politics. The problem is that, given factory farming, eating chicken imposes more far more suffering on other sentient animals, pound for pound, than eating beef. (Chickens are much smaller than cows, & suffer more.)

PS here's a good 2017 review of the research on chicken cognition, which shows they're a lot smarter than most people think they are:https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10071-016-1064-4 …

How did you quantify the suffering of the little chickens as compared to the cows? Is there a unit of measurement for suffering, similar to the watt-hour for electricity?

You quantify it as best you can, given the evidence you can get.

Research on chicken cognition suggests they are probably smarter than cows, IMHO.

I'd argue chickens have more individuality than cows. Talk with people who raise both.

What about the vegan and organic farms that plow fields that kill all the sentient bugs and rodents . That's even more suffering. It's a complex world. Some even say plants are sentient.

I didn't advocate a vegan diet. I advocating eating pastured beef.

Yes. Chickens are probably at least as sentient as cows, given the research on their cognitive abilities.
