[THREAD] (1/4) The malign & ugly attempts of (neo)-Marxists Stephen Jay Gould & Richard Lewontin, two self-described “anti-racists,” to try to stop non-blank slate scientific inquiry into human nature & intelligence were a sort of "cancel culture" before cancel culture existed.
If Gould was still alive today, he'd be denying the existence of biological sex differences, denying the results of GWAS studies on the heritability of cognitive and moral traits, and denying that his positions have anything to do with virtue signaling.
Gould was toxic.
Those claims about Gould could do with some substantiation. Tbh criticising the man instead of critiquing his work in this way, particularly since he’s no longer alive to defend himself, does you no credit whatsoever.
Gould himself is famous for committing fraud to defame someone who wasn’t alive to defend himself. So that’s close to the dumbest thing anyone could say defending Gould.
