Perhaps they didn't ask because intelligence, not being an "inclusive" trait (not everyone is capable of having it), is a less politically correct trait than kindness (and certain other more widely-possessed human traits).

@primalpoly, simple answer to that one. When I designed the study I wanted to include some traits not used in the task before (e.g. chastity). At same time, needed to cap total number of traits. So didn't include intelligence. No sinister reason for that. It is very important -
