In a new @TIME interview, feminist @ginarippon1 claims Charles Darwin "said that women are inferior because they have inferior brains and therefore they do not have the right to assume a powerful role in society" Nope. He never said that. Liar.https://time.com/5669513/gina-rippon-interview-gender-and-our-brains/ …

It seems worth acknowledging that he did say the first part of that (that women have inferior faculties, where those faculties are pretty explicitly linked to the brain). Though second part seems like a stretch.

Darwin didn't say women have inferior faculties. He said they did not achieve the eminence in many fields, so far, that men achieved. Very big difference.

"We may also infer, from the law of the deviation from averages, so well illustrated by Mr. Galton, in his work on 'Hereditary Genius,' that if men are capable of a decided pre-eminence over women in many subjects, the average of mental power in man must be above that of woman."

The second part is not “a stretch”. It’s clear from Darwin’s holistic output on the topic, including personal correspondence. @AngelaDSaini deals with this topic in her book ‘Inferior’. Read it- it’s good!

I notice you haven’t responded to any of the people citing Darwin’s exact words to this effect. Honestly, is this kind of intellectual cowardice an evolved phenomenon for you, or are you just a very weak-willed man?
