We also have no grasp of the extent to which such traits are epigenetically malleable, so both statements can clearly coexist as for now, not to mention the presence of genes linked to psychopathy is only indicative of a risk, be it high or low.
Epigenetics is massively oversold and mostly irrelevant to psychological traits.

Doesn't appear to be true in the field of mental health. If environment has any implication besides genetics, this margin of irrelevancy could a priori be accounted for lack of self-consciousness, the ease to fail to genetic influences rather than inducing conditions to alter it.
