Seems more tautological than wise? If you can escape without moving backwards, it wasn't a dead end by mere definition; and many problems with a "dead" feeling are not solvable by moving backward.

Hmm. “The best way out is always through.” - Robert Frost. (A phrase I've heard in various forms down through the years. Most recently in Supernatural where Bobby is in a coma and has to go through his worst memory to wake up, that was the only way out.)
