Just out of curiosity, if the first three points were reversed but the last point was still the same would your decision to not teach social psychology change?

Yes. I teach lots of ideas derived from the far Left, if they prove empirically valid.

Many of them, given that psych is the most popular major at most universities.

Yes, IMHO, social psych has been at the center of the replication crisis. Much worse than other areas like personality psych, ev psych, or behavior genetics.

It was thin ice and needed political backing, until, I think, social media opened a window into billions of people...but the analysis of the data is probably still forthcoming. If they have academic integrity, they would pause now as their means is now another scale of enhanced.

The social sciences used to draw data from paper records. Since 20 years ago their data samples are now digital. Furthermore, the three pillars: Poly Sci, Psych, and Sociology, can also fuse and combine the data and test people online. Especially through sites like these.

We can and will do better.

Parts of the field are actively embracing what can only be described as “scientific racism” and are pushing it as objective truth. The damage done to institutions and culture is irreversible.
