Just because someone thinks your preferred 'solution' to climate change is sentimental, counterproductive, crypto-socialist, eco-atonement virtue-signaling doesn't mean they're a 'climate change denier'.

As long as there are people who deny that the climate is changing beyond normal fluctuations, climate change denier is an appropriate term.
For those people, yes. For people who don't think that bans on plastic straws are helpful, no.
