Just because someone thinks your preferred 'solution' to climate change is sentimental, counterproductive, crypto-socialist, eco-atonement virtue-signaling doesn't mean they're a 'climate change denier'.

'climate change denier' is a term used by the scientifically illiterate. you know the second they say that or 'muh consensus' that they will have nothing of substance to contribute to any conversation.

As long as there are people who deny that the climate is changing beyond normal fluctuations, climate change denier is an appropriate term.

Unless you can get China, India, etc. to get on board (you can’t), radically reduce manufacturing, shipping and air travel (you can’t), get most people to be vegetarians (you can’t), and reduce population (you shouldn’t), it’s hard to see a solution

One viable solution is thorium based nuclear power, but that won't receive support because it doesn't require a radical shift in economic policy.

As I see it, the vast majority of allegledly solutions to CC are not a big deal and can not even begin to touch the issue. Specially silly wishful thinkering "do that simple thing and save the planet", like riding bikes, recycling domestic garbage, etc.

The replies to your post suggest there are people who don't take as an assumption: 1: climate is changing beyond regular fluctuations 2: humans are a major reason why 3: we should do what we can to mitigate the changes Those who disagree would reasonably be termed "deniers"

Disagreeing with a solution doesn't make you a denier. Attacking a solution while not indicating a solution to better spend time/effort on, is information towards you denying 3. Not confirmation, but definitely information.

Na, Geoff, the important thing is deciding who is "good" for society and if we/I deem their ideas detrimental than we're allowed to cheer for their death. Of course, only people I think are worthy will be and th fact that people disagree is besides the point.
