Centrifugal force could be handled with superelevation. Where it comes off the rails, quite honestly, is with air traffic control, which would somehow have to line planes up in spirals instead of lines. What a nightmare.

At a take-off / landing speed of 180mph with a circle radius of 1.5mi, the centripetal acceleration would be about 8.9 ft/sec^2 (between 1/4 and 1/3 g): a = v^2 / r. 180mph is a 747. This runway is quite long, at >9miles, but it is supposed to replace several runways.

The good idea faerie has run amok. Its difficult enough landing on straight runways in bad weather. Now and in constantly changing heading, crosswinds, and a laterally sloped runway. No thanks.
