That's a somewhat generic comment to make imo. The evidence for fasting benefits, though replicable and fairly solid at least in animals is still pretty thin on the ground. Otherwise scarcely any studies on potential side-effects for special groups (old, young, underweight, etc)

I would advise some caution before embarking on a regimen of regular intermittent fasting and strongly to also seek the advice of a physician if possible.
