If you don’t crash and die, why do you lose life expectancy?

I’m wondering if the act of riding itself (as opposed to crashing and dying) reduces expectancy. Like sitting reduces life expectancy, but one act of sitting will not kill you.

Your point is that the more you ride the higher chance of suffering sudden life ending event - I get that. But I’m wondering if the act of riding itself reduces life expectancy (eg from elevated heart rate, anxiety, stress)
