When you address any of his arguments, he just makes a snide joke and ignores the substance. I don’t mind disagreement. But I do mind an obstinate refusal to grapple with substantive issues.

I have exactly the same problem when I try to explain to «materialists» that our total inability to explain «human perceptions» (aka qualia) is a serious issue that should prevent them from claiming too quickly that «science has proven me right» :)
