Do you know people who got their life together after having kids? Like, they were living a wild self-destructive life and finally got it together OR Did they keep doing the same dumb shit and NOW a new life was forced to suffer as well? What has been your general observation?
I procrastinated for years on writing my first book. Then I had my first kid, got my act together, and wrote it within 15 months. Needed to get the book advance to put the down payment on a house. Fatherhood is a big motivator.

Having a child made me feel i had been really inmature most of my life. I think people today wait way too long too grow up, have kids....and for me it was a mistake. Life is short!

On the opposite side of this, would you say that “parental obligations” have at all led to other forms of procrastination? For example “I can’t start this business until my son graduates”. I feel like I’ve seen this more commonly.
