Do you have to be an extrovert to manage a big team or a small company? How can introverts succeed as entrepreneurs (or academics, for that matter)?

As an introvert I’m going to put my two cents in. Yes, introverts can do it! I’m an introvert. Founded a company. Have a big team in a big company. Just have to be heard through all the voices.

Connects to something I've been thinking is that some psychological traits are framed in society as the right way to be. Like it's something you should learn/become instead of finding a way to make things work with your own psychological profile.

My layman answer would be that management isn't about control. It's about being able to delegate. As long as you keep oversight and gently course correct where needed you dont need a strong personality in the driver's seat. I always thought the best managers to be >>
