We need to ban assault weapons — except at shooting ranges.. There is no place for them in today’s society. Period. If it’s a sport — go practice at the range. No need to keep them around the house.

Automatic rifles (machine guns) are already almost impossible to get, extremely expensive, and require a Class 3 federal license that takes at least 12 months. Are confusing them with semi-automatic rifles?

Special license for anything that fires a .223 round, (maybe 5.7 too?). They aren’t used for hunting. For hunting rounds, special license for magazines over X rounds. Legal age for handguns 21+. Combined with serious inquiry into SSRIs and other psychiatric drugs.
