Huge oversimplification. The paper discusses possible genetic connections to sociopolitical orientations, but it’s unlikely that there are specific, traceable genes related to homophobia. More compelling is genetic connection to fear of change and acceptance of inequality.
-
Yes there could be genes, maybe not very specific (eg not attracted to persons with more same sex characteristics) etc. Presumably methodology was sound. However it would be similar for findings that degree of tribal prejudice or predatory sexuality is partly genetic.

I think homoaverse is usually more accurate but homophobia definitely fits sometimes, especially when someone is afraid they'll be perceived as gay.

I don’t even know what to do with this information, assuming it’s accurate.

Indeed, I'm struggling to conjure what the implications of this finding would be.

On first principles, isn't everything more heritable than homosexuality?
-
Not sure. Susceptibilty to suicidality and willingness to sacrifice life in battle seems quite common even in people who've not yet reproduced. Each thing is complicated, isnt it?
