In a society that fetishizes extroversion, that is true.

Is there a way to help extroverts to become more self-reflective? Is it possible to help them relieve the relentless insecurity that drives them to seek constant contact and approval from others? Could they possibly learn how to listen a bit more a project a bit less?

Yes! For a motivated introvert, extroversion is easy to mimic and cultivate...particularly for a few hours if it is necessary to get things done. I have not found that extroverts can mimic introversion as easily but I agree, it is a worthwhile skill for them to develop.
