I saw the film here in Sweden where (of course) the Swedish-language bits were shown without subtitles. I'm curious: early in the, when the gang is settling in Hårga, a woman comes into their dormitory and says (in Swedish) something like "the kids are watching Austin Powers".

Was this subtitled in the English-language version? It felt so completely out-of-place with the tone of the rest of the film. Eerie in its own peculiar kind of way.

Occasionally I'll pick a film to overwatch and deconstruct in my head- I've seen MIDSOMMAR six times. It works on quite a few levels imo
