Hey conservative friends who oppose military spending cuts — what’s the harm with letting us just do an audit of the Pentagon?
Worried about how much waste we’ll find? 
Also, audit the Fed. Also, audit all the entitlement programs. Audit everything.

Auditing the government... wait don’t we have a huge federal bureaucracy... no wait, 2 or 3 of them... with huge budgets to do just that? Maybe we should audit them to see where the money is going, since they don’t seem to be doing the only job they exist for...

Their really has never been a proper audit of the Pentagon. I don't think it's possible anymore. Ur basically trying to examine the efficiency of machine that spends the defense budget. Sounds simple but throw in HQ activities of 5 military branches and some black stuff. I dunno
