Does "free range" or "certified humane" mean anything when it comes to chickens and their eggs or is that just a marketing ploy to ease the guilt of consumers?
'Free range' means very little. 'Pasture-raised' might mean more. Any egg that costs less than 40 cents was probably laid by a very unhappy hen.
