Centrism is a position where you agree either with the left or the right depending on the issue. It doesn't have a discernible ideology, so the only memes come from it are ones that agree AND disagree with something or someone. Thus, Motte&Bayley and "someone I dislike is right."
This is an interesting observation. I wonder if there are principled articulations of centrism as a philosophy.

On one hand I think it ought to be fleshed out considering the contradictory ways in which the tribes use the word, like rationalist, liberal, etc...On the other hand it seems like another obscure semantic argument that won’t clarify much of anything on the scale it ought to.
