Until there's a way to deal with the nuclear waste without risking the contamination of the environment for the next 500 000 years, no it's not.

Except it will take too long to build. We need to go fossil free in a decade and current nuclear power plants under construction have been longer time coming already. Solar have the added benefits that it’s distributed and require less infrastructure than all other power sources.
