you can mimic other things. Otherwise it would have been illegal to call plastic forks forks, as they were only made of other materials previously.
It's deflection by someone who wants to see his political opposition's speech banned from the Internet. Food labelling is not a risible free speech issue.
The "veggie" part of the name might be a give away. Similar battle over the name "cheese" in Canada.
Occasionally laws like this make sense, but I don't think this is one of them. However, it's not the most egregious affront to free speech at the moment. It may be a sign of crony capitalism.
I'm sure, btw, Ezra completely would be against the myriad of other regulatory requirements on labeling.
