Are the effects of this lasting, compared to deep meditation? Do people report a permanent change in 'moral' orientation due to drug induced transcendent experiences?
Sustained meditation practice probably leads to more sustained changes. IMHO. More research needed.

One of the things I read about psylocibin for depression was that though the experience itself dissolves quickly, the *memory* of the transcendent high inhibited the return of depressed feelings for months.
