A utilitarian argument against @PeterSinger:
1. Singer has made millions of people realize they are immoral.
2. But this realization hasn't changed their behavior. It's simply made them feel bad about themselves.
3. So Singer has reduced global utility, therefore HE is immoral.

That’s fair. To be clear, my original tweet was mostly in jest.

Oh I know. I'm just in an overly literal mood today.

Animal Liberation by
@PeterSinger has been by far the most influential book in the ethical vegan movement. Ask some vegans.

While saving animals is nice, he's also inspired renewed pro-infanticide policy (being balanced fair enough with pro-life pushback). He just spoke along with the Google exec exposed by
@Project_Veritas on how to create#MoralsMachines to guide our future. Kind of cultish so far -
Annnnd just like that ... YouTube was pushing a global pro-abortion blacklist and trying to rig election against religious Catholics in Irelandhttps://twitter.com/Project_Veritas/status/1143988354368835584 …

Vegans cause more death and suffering through consumption of veggies and grains where land was cleared indiscriminately by large machines which rip what ever was there originally to shreds and destroyd their natural habitat

Yes but of the millions of people, a significant proportion will suffer detrimental health due to vegan diets, how do you factor that in?
-
An all too often ignored fact when people are doing these suffering calculations
