A utilitarian argument against @PeterSinger:
1. Singer has made millions of people realize they are immoral.
2. But this realization hasn't changed their behavior. It's simply made them feel bad about themselves.
3. So Singer has reduced global utility, therefore HE is immoral.
Singer convinced millions of people to go vegan, which saved billions of animals from suffering, and inspired the whole @Effect_Altruism movement that's trying to save us from existential risks. Seems like a net win to me. @PeterSinger

Yes but of the millions of people, a significant proportion will suffer detrimental health due to vegan diets, how do you factor that in?
