The problem with twin studies is that one twin using and one not is so incredibly rare that the results will be skewed, and therefore statistical significance is almost impossible to find. The study would have to be massive in order to get enough to obtain usable results.
On sabbatical I worked with an Australian twin sample of about 30,000 twin pairs followed for more than 30 years. Huge datasets are out there. Most researchers just don't use them.

For this discussion, we can only use studies that have been published, not ones we wish would be published. Would it not be better to err on the side of evidence (even imperfect evidence) and discourage marijuana use, since there's no real benefit to it in most cases?
