No. Not to save the environment, but to prevent sentient humans from having to suffer in the first place.
What empirical evidence would convince you that most humans enjoy net positive utility.... Beyond the hundreds of studies on happiness and well-being that have already done just that?

Not denying that. I know that once one exists, one generally prefers to enjoy more positive utilities (and being alive, obviously) rather than nonexistence. Also, I'm not an anti-natalist. Just clarifying things.
