Imagine if more people understood that: - gains from trade are positive-sum - free markets are positive-sum - economic growth is positive-sum - peaceful human interactions are positive-sum @AndrewYang gets it. But most Democratic candidates still think America is a zero-sum gamehttps://twitter.com/AndrewYang/status/1141109571387318272 …

I don’t remember anyone asking “where’s the money going to come from?” when the government bailed out Wall Street. We need to treat ourselves and the Americans who are living paycheck to paycheck the same way we did the banks in 2008. pic.twitter.com/jubmK8HhUn

Andrew's a "change agent" but his own party is unable to utilize somebody like him at this moment in history. Nonetheless, his presence should be an urgent wake up call to the Democrats. Four more years of Trump's powerful elixir will better prepare the ground for Yang in 2024.

His UBI plan literally assumes extra wealth being created out of thin air via a demand induced growth mechanism (and he thinks this will occur regardless of the point in the business cycle it is implemented). That isn’t a belief in markets, etc. It is a belief in magic.

Andrew Yang has novel ideas, much better than most of the Dem field, and he deserves a platform but I don't he's currently electable on a national level

Why not? He's already attracting voters from across the spectrum and especially non voters. It's the only way to beat Trump. Establishment dems lost last time and they will lose again this time.

Capitalist societies are zero sum games. As long as money is finite when someone gains someone loses.

Positive sum is too simplistic. You can have 99 negative elements in a set of 100 and still get to positive sum if the last element is large enough. It's about distribution.
