Paul has said before: "
#UBI won't work, we need stronger labor and better welfare," I'm surprised he's unwilling to make the leap to a guaranteed income when this country has 140 million poor. At this point better welfare is UBI & it helps everyone#PoorPeoplesCampaign#YangGang -

Dude seems like a stuffy academic disconnected from what’s happening in the real world, all wrapped up in theories whereas Yang also studied economics, but has actual practical real world experience. It’s like a traditional martial artist going up against a modern mma fighter

I have never liked Krugman or his material. I'm more of a Dr. Sowell guy, myself.

I have a perhaps irrational attraction to UBI in part because i know what it's like to be poor. And that it is a policy that helps me directly, unlike virtually any other means tested program in existence.

This. Yang is empathetic, but he doesn’t know at a visceral level what we know - looking in the couch cushions to find enough change to buy a gas station hot dog.

Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious that the Vox set is going for Warren. Yang appeals to left libertarian types (as does Gabbard) and I think that worries them more than Biden, who they think they can take.

Most things in the world aren't binary. There're usually only a few ways to be right but lots of ways to be wrong. IOW when people who are wrong about everything dislike someone, it's still more likely, in general, that that person merely represents a different flavor of wrong.
-
Elections are, however, by and large binary affairs. I think voting against Krugman is usually a fairly safe cognitive shortcut.
