Lots of opinions on burning American flags out there! What do you think folks?
I wouldn't make friends with someone who burned the flag. But I also wouldn't make friends with someone who failed to understand our constitutional rights to free expression, however repugnant.

I dont see flags as sacred. Burning one is a tactic. As such I would judge it likely to fail in most circumstances.

The thing I like about flag burners is they openly signal their hatred and disrespect so I know to discount heavily anything they claim. A real time saver.

I am excluding proper disposal of the flag. Other forms of protest that dont involve destruction or desecration are more acceptable (e.g. flag washing) although I think are unproductive as they may not communicate what is really intended.
