The basic distinction is btw coercion and persuasion. Civ/science as based at attacking positions, not people. The Left is channeling, inside the group, the zero-sum thinking of the old mercantilism. Marx was the first to do this, then gender/race.

So many things wrong with this. Marx, for all his faults, was not "the first to do this." Building in-groups is something that people have done for thousands of years.
