I think 'Authoritarian v. Libertarian' is the starting point, in that you either believe in central planning or individual choice. From there 'Nuance v. Activism' becomes a (first?) subset of choices of behavior...https://twitter.com/EricRWeinstein/status/1138447714956398592 …

Many claim that ‘authoritarian vs libertarian’ is the new spectrum. Yet from where I sit, it is much more ‘Nuance vs Activism’ that seems to be emerging as the successor to ‘Left vs Right’ in contest for on-line mindshare. The internet has fueled both...but perhaps one more so.

He was tarred and lost an election because of them, but was Barry Goldwater wrong when he said: “Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. Moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

This confuses the definition of nuance to me, I wonder if nuance is more appropriately defined as a pathology or rather a destination.

As long as you don't mean "unnuanced" to the point where libel is fine and dandy. Which I'm sure you don't =).

Libel is not protected speech, under constitutional law
