Maybe your version of it isn't BS, but if I hear one more time about how girls like pink more than boys (a modern phenomen!) because of berries (which generally aren't pink???)...
I've never seen an ev psych paper or talk that makes that berry argument. It's either an anti-EP urban myth, or a minor claim in an obscure paper that got weaponized into an anti-EP example by critics. Most of EP tests hypotheses just like animal behavior research does.

Again, I'm not saying there's NO legit evo psych, but most of the time when I hear about it, it's people spouting implausible "explanations" for why few Western women study physics or why girls' clothing is pink.
